VURV Research Privacy Policy

Last updated August 19, 2026

VR2 Research, LLC, a Wyoming Limited Liability Company, d/b/a VURV Research (“VURV Research,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operates vurvresearch.com (the “Site”). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

We sell to businesses, institutions, and qualified researchers, not to consumers. Most of the information we hold is business contact and account information rather than personal information in the ordinary sense, but it can identify individuals, so we treat it accordingly.

1.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our analytics provider collect: IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, time on page, and interactions with Site features. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies. See Section 4.

1.3 Information we do not collect

We do not collect or store full payment card numbers. Where card payment is available (see Section 3.2), it is handled entirely by our payment processor; we receive only a confirmation, the last four digits, and the card brand. We do not collect Social Security numbers, government identification numbers other than your business EIN, health information, or biometric information.

2. How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

  • open, verify, and administer trade accounts, and decide whether to approve an application;
  • process, fulfill, invoice, and deliver orders, and provide lot traceability;
  • extend and administer credit terms, and collect amounts owed;
  • provide support and consulting services and communicate with you about your account;
  • send transactional email, order confirmations, shipping and tracking notices, invoices, account and password messages, and legal or policy notices;
  • send marketing email, but only if you have opted in (see Section 5);
  • maintain the compliance, licensing, and research-use records described in our Terms and Conditions of Sale, and conduct recalls or field actions;
  • detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, credential misuse, and activity inconsistent with research use;
  • understand how the Site is used and improve it; and
  • comply with tax, accounting, and other legal obligations, and establish or defend legal claims.

We do not use personal information to make automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects. Trade account approvals are reviewed by a person.

3. Who We Share Information With

We share personal information only as described here. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

3.1 Fulfillment and shipping

We use third-party fulfillment vendors and shipping carriers. They receive the recipient name, delivery address, phone number, and order contents necessary to pack and deliver your order, and they may use it only for that purpose. Cold-chain shipments may also involve specialist packaging and courier providers.

3.2 Payment processing

Stripe processes credit card payments, which are available on request. Card details are entered directly with Stripe and are never received or stored by us. Stripe processes that data as an independent controller under its own privacy policy.

Where an invoice is settled by ACH or wire transfer, your payment information stays between you and your bank; we see only that payment was received. Section 5 of the Terms of Sale governs which payment methods are available and any applicable card surcharge.

3.3 Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand Site traffic and usage. Google receives the automatically collected information in Section 1.2 and processes it under its own terms. See Section 4 for how to opt out.

3.4 Service providers

We use vendors for website hosting, email delivery, customer support, accounting, and similar functions. They may access personal information only to perform services for us, under contractual confidentiality and security obligations, and may not use it for their own purposes.

3.5 Legal and business transfers

We may disclose information where required by law, subpoena, or regulatory authority; to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; to protect the rights, safety, or property of VURV Research, our customers, or the public; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case we will require the recipient to honor this policy or notify you of any material change.

3.6 Clinic Network

If you opt in to a listing in the VURV Research™ Clinic Network or any similar directory, your business name, locations, and contact details are displayed publicly. This is optional, is off by default, and you may withdraw at any time by emailing help@vurvresearch.com.

4. Cookies and Analytics

4.1 We use cookies and similar technologies for two purposes:

  • Strictly necessary, keeping you signed in, maintaining your cart, security, and load balancing. The Site does not function without these.
  • Analytics, Google Analytics, to measure traffic and understand which pages are used. These are not necessary for the Site to work.

4.2 We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies, and we do not permit third parties to collect information across other websites through our Site.

4.3 Your choices. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; blocking strictly necessary cookies will break account features. You can opt out of Google Analytics specifically by installing Google’s browser opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

4.4 Global Privacy Control. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where your browser sends one, and treat it as an opt-out of analytics cookies for that browser.

5. Email, Transactional and Marketing

5.1 Transactional email is sent because it is necessary to operate your account and complete your orders: order confirmations, shipping and tracking notices, invoices and payment reminders, account and password messages, recall or safety notices, and changes to our legal terms. You cannot unsubscribe from these while you hold an account, because they are part of the service.

5.2 Marketing email, product news, restock notices, catalog updates, and offers, is sent only if you opt in. The opt-in is an unchecked box on the trade account application, and you can also opt in or out at any time from your account settings.

5.3 Every marketing message includes a working unsubscribe link and our postal address. We honor unsubscribe requests promptly and in any event within ten (10) business days. Unsubscribing from marketing does not affect transactional email.

5.4 We do not sell, rent, or trade email addresses, and we do not send marketing on behalf of third parties.

6. How Long We Keep Information

CategoryRetention
Account and contact recordsFor the life of the account, then 3 years
Order, invoice, and tax records7 years from the transaction, as required for tax and accounting
Lot traceability and recall records3 years from the date of supply, per our Terms and Conditions of Sale
Research-use attestations and compliance documentationLife of the account plus 3 years

Marketing consent and unsubscribe recordsRetained indefinitely, so we can honor your choice

When a retention period ends we delete the information or irreversibly de-identify it. We may retain what is necessary to comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements beyond these periods.

7. Security

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including encryption of data in transit, access controls limiting staff access to what their role requires, and vendor diligence for service providers who handle personal information. Account credentials are your responsibility to protect, see our Terms of Use.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and any required regulator in accordance with applicable law.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Regardless of where you live, you may:

  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or out of date;
  • Delete your account and the associated personal information;
  • Opt out of marketing email at any time; and
  • Withdraw a Clinic Network listing.

To exercise any of these, email help@vurvresearch.com. We verify requests against the account of record before acting on them, and we respond within thirty (30) days. There is no charge, and we will not discriminate against you for making a request.

What we cannot delete. We must retain order, invoice, tax, lot traceability, and research-use compliance records for the periods in Section 6, even after you close an account. A deletion request removes everything not subject to those obligations.

Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and others, may have additional rights, including the right to know the categories of information collected and disclosed, the right to opt out of sale or targeted advertising (we do neither), and the right to appeal a denied request. To appeal, reply to our response with the subject line “Privacy Appeal.” We will respond to appeals within forty-five (45) days.

9. Children

The Site is not directed to children. Account holders must be at least 21. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, email help@vurvresearch.com and we will delete it.

10. Location of Processing

We operate in the United States and process and store information there. We ship within the United States only. If you access the Site from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your location.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we will post the revised version with a new effective date and version number. If a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will notify account holders by email before it takes effect. Prior versions are available on request.
